3D Visualisation - making a difference

New 3D Design software is making a big impression on the way equipment is designed. When
a considerable part of the business is creating one-off design systems, modern 3D modelling
can give you an almost photographic type quality image of the equipment to be produced. What's
more is the fact that the design engineer can "walk around" his creation and see in full perspective
any areas which could cause problems e.g. potential collisions, clearances and ergonomics.

As a result of this new skill we are actively working through existing design to improve where
possible and generating new conceptions to trial. The new software even allows stress analysis
to ensure components under test are adequately supported and structures are fit for purpose.
