Johnson and Allen have released for production, a safer penetrant which is environmetally friendly, non-azo and hydrocarbon free.

Known as JAP-B the penetrant is blue. The Colour contrast is comparable if not better to that of the red, with the advantage that far fewer peole are colour blind to blues than to reds. The Penetrant is dual purpose and can be used as a water washable or solvent removable system. It is very low in Sulphur and Halogens, easily passing Nuclear standards
