NeoVU-4 Inspection Light expected late 2017

Johnson & Allen are proud to announce that the development of the NeoVU-4 is nearing completion with prototype units undergoing final tests before batch production begins in the coming weeks.

First unveiled at the Materials Testing Exhibition in September 2017 alongside the new CBU-1000 Compact Portable Bench Unit, the UK made NeoVU-4 Inspection Light will be the successor to the NeoVU-3 when released late in 2017.

Johnson & Allen intend to continue sale of the NeoVU-3 beyond this release date for some months as the NeoVU-4 is phased in.

Made with aerospace NDT applications in mind

Using an array of high performance Nichia LEDs with optical filters, the NeoVU-4 will produce a high intensity, wide and uniform circular beam profile with minimal visible light emissions and no hot spots. The robust housing will also feature integrated cooling so UV output stability is maintained during use with a narrow emission spectrum centred on 365nm.

The NeoVU-4 is being developed for the aerospace sector and is expected to meet or exceed all current magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspection requirements including RRES 90061 and ASTM E3022.
